Every midnight, daily red pokemon generates six level 100 Pokémon from Gen 1 to Gen 3. The lineup is balanced with a minimum total base stat of 2,700, so you never get stuck with an unplayable squad. On about one day in eight, your daily red pokemon squad includes a legendary. Each member gets four random moves and a random held item under Gen 3 battle rules, and the Today's Team page shows each one's moves, item, ability, and stats. The Today's Team page shows today's full lineup, moves, items, and stats.
A legend to take down
Your daily red pokemon target is Red waiting on Mt. Silver. His level 100 roster never changes: Pikachu holding a Light Ball, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, each with a fixed item and four fixed moves. In this daily red pokemon test, your BAG is empty. You must outplay his lineup move for move under pure battle rules. The Red's Team page has his full roster with moves, items, and stats, and the how to beat Red guide covers tactics and switch timing.
One chance a day
Your daily red pokemon attempt counts the moment Red's battle starts. There are no restarts: closing or refreshing the page during the battle counts as a loss. Before the battle, you can refresh as often as you like, and your team stays the same all day.
Red's team
Moves and items →Red's team in daily red pokemon is the same six level 100 Pokémon every day: Pikachu, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. Each one keeps a fixed held item and four fixed moves, so you can study Red's team before you pick your lead.

This daily red pokemon game brings the daily puzzle format to classic turn-based combat. It is an unofficial fan-made project built for quick sessions on your phone or desktop. As a daily pokemon game, it gives every player the same lineup each day, so daily red pokemon becomes a shared test of tactics. You can jump straight into daily red play without any registration. If you enjoy a daily red wordle style challenge, daily red pokemon gives you one official battle a day against Red.
A daily red pokemon session has four steps. You press Play, walk up the steps of a snowy summit as LEAF, talk to Red with the A button, and battle until one side has no Pokémon left. Red uses the same six Pokémon every day, so each daily red pokemon run teaches you something about his team. The first visit downloads about 9 MB, which covers the game and the emulator that runs it.
How to play your daily red battle
Daily red pokemon needs no setup. Press Play, and the game opens on a snowy mountain top where you play as LEAF with today's six Pokémon. Walk up the steps to Red and press A to talk, and the battle begins. The daily red game runs in your mobile or desktop browser through the mGBA emulator, so there is nothing to install. The how-to-play guide covers controls, team building, and battle tips.
On a keyboard, the arrow keys move, X is the A button, Z is the B button, Enter is Start, and Right Shift is Select. On a phone or tablet, use the D-pad and the A, B, Start, and Select buttons under the screen. Battles use the original FireRed menu: FIGHT, BAG, POKéMON, and RUN. When one of your Pokémon faints, daily red pokemon asks you to choose your next one. Your BAG is empty, so every heal has to come from your moves and held items.
Track your daily record
Your browser stores your daily red pokemon record, so you never create an account. The game shows four numbers: Wins, Losses, Win streak, and Day streak. Each day counts once, and missing a day resets both streaks to zero. If you clear your browser data, the record goes with it.
Your daily red pokemon record does not sync between devices or browsers. A phone and a laptop each keep their own Wins, Losses, and streaks, so play in the same browser if you want one unbroken Day streak. After your first battle each day, you can save or share a daily red pokemon result card. It shows who fainted on each side, the turn count, and your win streak. You can also copy it as Wordle-style squares.
Why daily red pokemon feels like Wordle
Daily red pokemon feels like Wordle because every player gets one puzzle a day, and the puzzle is the same for everyone on that date. The puzzle is a battle instead of a word, and you cannot restart your official run. Your streak grows across days, and you can compare notes with friends who played the same team. Unlike a word puzzle, the battle branches on every move and switch you choose.
Choose your lead in daily red pokemon
To choose your lead in daily red pokemon, reorder your party before you talk to Red. Press Start to open the menu, pick POKéMON, then use SWITCH to swap two Pokémon. The Pokémon in the first slot is the one you send out first. Battles use the SET style, so when one of Red's Pokémon faints, the game does not offer you a free switch.
Where daily red pokemon comes from
Daily red pokemon is an unofficial fan site built on the open source project Daily Red by amoi-builds on GitHub. The game is Pokémon FireRed, compiled from the pret/pokefirered decompilation with Daily Red's changes, and it runs in your browser in the mGBA emulator (WebAssembly, through RetroArch and Nostalgist.js). That is why the battle animations, music, and sound effects are the originals. This site's one change makes the in-game teams match the Today's Team and Red's Team pages. The site is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company.
FAQ
FAQ
Is daily red pokemon free to play?
Yes, daily red pokemon is free to play, and you do not need to sign up. Open the site on your phone or desktop and press Play. The first time, your browser downloads about 9 MB for the game and the emulator, and there is no app to install. Your record stays in your browser too, so there is no account to create.
Does everyone get the same daily red pokemon team?
Yes, every player gets the same daily red pokemon team on a given date. The team resets at midnight local time, so it changes when your own clock reaches a new day. That shared team lets you compare runs with friends who played the same date. The moves and held items match for everyone too.
Can I restart my official daily red pokemon attempt?
No, you get one official daily red pokemon attempt per calendar day. Today counts as played the moment Red's battle starts. Closing or refreshing the page during the battle counts as a loss, and the battle cannot be resumed. Before the battle starts, you can refresh freely, and a new team arrives at midnight local time.
What happens if I refresh the page during daily red pokemon?
Refreshing during Red's battle counts as a loss, because daily red pokemon does not save a battle in progress. The day is marked as played, the loss goes into your record, and your win streak resets. Refreshing before you talk to Red is safe, and you keep the same six Pokémon all day. Finish the battle in one sitting to keep your streak alive.
How big is the daily red pokemon download?
Daily red pokemon downloads about 9 MB the first time you press Play. About 5.5 MB is the game and about 3.4 MB is the mGBA emulator that runs it. Once both have loaded, the game runs in your browser with no install and no sign-up.
Does daily red pokemon keep my win streak?
Yes, daily red pokemon keeps your Wins, Losses, Win streak, and Day streak in your browser. It records one official result per day, and missing a day resets both streaks to zero. The numbers live in local storage on that device, so they do not follow you to another phone or browser, and clearing your browser data erases them.
Who do you fight in daily red pokemon?
You fight Red, the trainer waiting at the top of Mt. Silver. His team never changes: Pikachu with a Light Ball, Espeon, Snorlax, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, all at level 100. The battle runs on the original FireRed engine, and your BAG is empty. The Red's Team page lists his items and moves, and the How to Beat Red page explains how to plan your switches.
Is daily red pokemon an official Nintendo release?
No, daily red pokemon is an unofficial fan-made site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company. It is a community project built for fans of classic battles, built on the open source Daily Red project by amoi-builds on GitHub. Pokémon names and characters belong to their respective owners.
